....the new Harry Potter book? "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".
I got it for my birthday and i can't put it down, its great.

i haven't read it.... i think i've passed up
that opportunity since i didn't read the first
books.... and because i've seen the movies.
i don't really care to get involved with books
after movies have come out (and i've seen them)
as i become jaded and begin to believe that
the subsequent books are merely written for
movie production.
this is only true, of course, with books that
are made to movies during the same time as new
series books are being put out.... not older
novels that have become movies.
(if this makes sense)

Do many books get that? I mean, i haven't encountered it before the whole harry potter stuff. (And i heard from quite a few people that the books are quite good, who cares if they're made for movies, if those books are fun to read, i'll read the one day)
(Oh, and for some reason "Like a faded,jaded,faded mandarin" sprung to mind (you still gotta post in that thread))
